I Every female height has been transmuted to its male equivalent by multiplying it by 1.08, and only those families have been included in which the number of adult children amounted to six, at least.

NOTE. When these figures are protracted into carves, it will be seen-(1) that they run much alike ; (2) that their peculiarities are not in sequence ; and (3) that the curve corresponding to the first line occupies a medium position. It iv therefore certain that differences in the heights of the Parents have on the whole an inconsiderable effect on the heights of their Offspring.
